Dress for Success in Virtual Interviews

As many companies turned to remote work during the pandemic, many people also adjusted their wardrobe to include more athleisure pieces. We all love and adore comfort, hence the rise in joggers, sweat pants, and yoga pants this past year, however, these clothing pieces should not be worn during your next virtual interview.

Even still, you should dress for success when it comes to interviews — whether in person or virtual. Dressing the part not only makes you appear and look professional to the interviewer, but also gives you more confidence. Leave behind the hoodies and wrinkled short-sleeve polo shirts. Instead, put on a solid color, long-sleeve, ironed, button-down shirt. This choice is always a winner.

Along with dressing for success during job interviews, you should also prepare in other ways too. For example, make sure to ask the recruiter or hiring manager any helpful information they can provide you before the interview to set you up for success. Also, during the virtual interview, make sure you stay engaged throughout, and be fully aware of your nonverbal communication.

Client Spotlight: Swig Life

Cheers to Swig Life

Career growth and success comes in many shapes and sizes. We measure those terms of our career trajectory and the companies we dedicate ourselves to. For Swig Life, a Richmond, VA based premium hydration company, the growth has been quick, and the success well deserved.

As the company looks to expand, the team is growing, and the opportunity to jump on board is now!

Founded in 2017, Swig Lift brings all the pop and circumstance of positive energy to the drinkware industry. Tracee Mathes, Founder, CEO, and life-long entrepreneur identified a consumer group who was not being targeted by the premium hydration industry and built a thriving business around it.

A Natural Born Doer

Tracee has always had a knack for turning her dreams into realities. A mother of two boys, she has worn many hats, worked many roles, and is passionate about her ideas (which, to this day, she still says she has plenty of)!

Though there are many insulated bottles and tumblers on the market, she saw a lack of options for women with her shared taste. Tracee founded Swig Life with the intention of creating an ‘uber-insulated and ultra-cute drinkware option’ for the ‘girl on the go, the boss lady, the wife, mom, sister, friend.’

Take A Swig

Today, Swig Life has drinkware in many shapes, sizes, and patterns for all the moments in modern women’s lives. Their collection of coolers and bags are also perfect for when you’re on the go. Both pretty and practical, Swig Life’s products are designed to make your heart feel happy when using one. Not to mention, they’re an incredible gift item for all the special women in your life (but don’t worry, Swig Life also offers products for the special men in your life, too)!

Glass Half Full Mindset

The Swig Life team stands for more than just their product. This team celebrates creativity, collaboration, and certainly, positivity. Headquartered in Tracee’s hometown of Richmond, Swig Life is rooted in its core values:

  1. We SERVE our customers, partners and each other with excellence and servant leadership.

  2. We ask WHY before, during and after every decision with the goal of continuous improvement.

  3. We work with INTENSITY and embrace doing difficult things with a sense of urgency and curiosity.

  4. We are GENUINE with one another and encourage authentic communication and accountability in everything we do.

A Thirst For Growth

Tracee’s entrepreneurial spirit has her always planning for the future. While adding to their product line every six months, Swig Life is also seeking hard working members to join their ever expanding team. This company is passionate to make the lives of women easier each day.

It is our pleasure to work with the team at Swig Life as they grow and continue on their mission. We are excited to stand by their side as they represent, support, and inspire women from their position in the premium drinkware industry.
