Meet Rhone!

Every once in a while, we get to work with superbly innovative companies who understand that building a team of engaged and inspired people is a key component to their shared success. Rhone, a high-performance men’s activewear company based in CT, does just that. 

Like their focus on a building a high functioning team, Rhone is also making breakthroughs in the apparel industry with their premium fabrics and innovative technology. Driven by principle and balance, Rhone does not compromise on the on their team or their product.

Inspired by the strength and beauty of the Rhône River, brothers and co-founders Nate and Ben Checketts started Rhone in 2014 in New Canaan, Connecticut after finding a void in comfortable, technical, and long-lasting premium men’s activewear. They set out on a journey to explore the latest and greatest in textile technology, and to build a company around it. On this journey, the founders had one goal in mind: to deliver a menswear brand with integrity and versatility in every piece they create. Building a team to do that was… and still is... essential in realizing that goal.

 Responsibility Philosophy

Proving that supporting a cause has roots in all things good for the planet, Rhone has a unique and admirable approach to sustainability. They identify as ‘responsible’ rather than ‘sustainable’. Their philosophy is open and transparent, “Honestly, we aren’t sustainable, but that will not stop us from trying. We are taking actions today to create a better tomorrow.” 

Organic cotton, recycled polyester, merino wool, modal, and recycled polyester (just to name a few) are some of the sustainable fibers Rhone incorporates in the material of their Responsible Products, all marked with a unique “Responsible” logo. This impressive company doesn’t stop their sustainable efforts at the seam, however. Starting in the spring of 2021, Rhone has begun using recycled materials for packaging of their products as well.  

Not only are Rhone’s products and packaging held to a high standard, but so are their partners and producers. Rhone ensures that their production partners have fair, clean environments for their employees across the globe.

Headquartered in Connecticut, just 45 minutes from New York City, with 5+ retail stores, an impressive e-commerce presence, and a 20% growth in wholesale this year, Rhone is destined to continue on their path of evolving and expanding.

They will be responsible for developing merchandise strategies and working collaboratively with other departments such as Sales, Marketing and Product. Additionally, they will drive growth through all aspects including visual merchandising, marketing and business development.
