Our client, Manduka, is searching for a Director of eCommerce to be responsible for strategy, planning, management, and performance of Manduka’s B2C and B2B eCommerce business in all markets. This includes full P&L responsibility for delivering revenue and gross margin targets, managing all expenses, and achieving strategic growth initiatives. This position will focus strongly on digital marketing activities to drive acquisition of new customers and conversion optimization through CRM and Merchandising. While reporting to the GM of Americas, the Director will also be responsible for delivering eCommerce results in Europe.

Key Responsibilities: 

·     P&L ownership

o   Responsible for Revenue Performance, GM performance and profitability

o   Build monthly / weekly sales strategy to achieve growth targets

o   Manage eCommerce expense budget

·     Marketing

o   Build strategic and tactical marketing plan to drive customer acquisition that converts to sales

o   Plan and lead execution of all SEO, email, social, content, PPC, and display advertising campaigns

o   Manage digital marketing agency responsible for SEO / PPC; tracks performance and guides strategy

o   Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) to senior leadership and other cross-functional stakeholders

o   Identify trends and insights, and optimize campaign marketing efforts and budget allocations based on the insights

o   Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies

o   Plan, execute, and measure messaging, creative design, audience, and conversion tests

o   Builds Email marketing strategy and utilizes ESP for deployment, tracking, and optimization

o   Recommends promotions and customer engagement activations

o   Manages affiliate programs

o   Manages marketing spend and reports on all acquisition KPi’s including CAC

·     Merchandising

o   Responsible for overseeing eCommerce Manager, responsible for site-wide merchandising, categorization and navigation

o   Merchandising for SEO optimization

o   A/B testing of merchandising campaigns

·     Analytics and Reporting

o   Weekly reporting on revenue performance by region, product category, and customer groups

o   Reporting by traffic channel and marketing activities

·     CRM

o   Oversee Order Management and Customer Care Team

o   Conduct tracking and reporting of customer segments including customer types, region, and purchasing behavior

o   Develop and activate CRM tactics to build repeat visits and sustain customer loyalty

o   Tracking and reporting of NPS Score and customer satisfaction surveys

Requirements: 

·       5 - 7 years of experience in running a productive and profitable eCommerce business; B2B experience a plus

·       Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field

·       Demonstrable experience leading and managing web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social, and/or display advertising campaigns

·       Experience in identifying target audiences and developing targeted, multi-touch digital campaigns with relevant CTAs

·       Experience in optimizing landing pages and conversion funnels

·       Experience with A/B and multivariate testing

·       Experience with marketing technologies including Marketing Automation/Email Marketing, CRM, CMS, Web Analytics

·       Experience creating, optimizing, and reporting for Google Adwords campaigns

·       Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

·       Strong analytical skills with an aptitude to use data and insights to develop and measure marketing initiatives

·       Advanced Excel (including VLookups and Pivot tables)

·       A good understanding of relational databases

·       Proficient in web analytics tools (Google Analytics)

·       A proven leader with strengths in managing teams directly and influencing teams cross-functionally

·       Highly organized, self-motivated and independent.  Flexibility in a rapidly growing, ever-changing business environment
