Benefits & HRIS Specialist : New York : Full-Time

Utilizing your Human Resources expertise with a NY fashion brand. Area’s of focus are: 

Benefits

  • Administer corporate benefit plans and programs, including health insurance, disability, workers’ compensation and unemployment insurance for associates nationwide

  • Coordinate State Disability Plans

  • Coordinate State/Municipality Paid Sick Leave and Paid Family Leave Plans

  • Communicate with Payroll Department regarding weekly salary continuance

  • Counsel associates regarding benefit plans and programs, including disability procedures

  • Counsel Field and BHQ Leadership regarding provisions of disability laws and how they affect direct reports on LOA

  • Ensure compliance with Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

  • Act as liaison between the insurer and the associate to resolve claims issues

  • Maintain database for associates on LOA and distribute to Field and Brand Headquarter teams weekly

  • Organize and process annual open enrollment for health insurance coverage and enrollment for new hires

  • Review and update the Benefits Associate Handbook and Benefits Summaries

  • Counsel associates regarding employee relations issues as they relate to their benefits

  • Coordinate and execute Health & Wellness program for Brand Headquarters

  • Administer unemployment process

 

Human Resource Information System (HRIS)

  • Prepare, maintain, and update employee data and processes related to HRIS

  • Process and maintain periodic reports of employee record data; develop reports

  • Assist in upgrading, troubleshooting, and testing the HRIS and other HR applications
