Community Programs Manager : El Segundo, CA : Full-time

Our client, Manduka, is looking for a creative, strategic and motivated Community Programs Manager to build out their Community Marketing function. The Community Programs Manager will be responsible for planning and executing marketing programs to be activated at the local community level with the goal of building relationships with Manduka wholesale accounts, local Manduka brand Ambassadors and consumers. This position will partner closely with Sales to ensure programs are developed around our customers’ needs and supportive of Manduka’s growth goals. The Community Programs Manager will manage a team of local Community Leads (regional field marketing team) and report directly to the Director of Marketing. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to create community programs for activating ambassadors, yoga studios and consumers, including but not limited to retention programs, events, donations, product testing and lead generation

  • Plan, organize, and manage all community programs for regional execution, working with outside vendors, ambassadors, and partners as needed, and coordinating across all company departments to lead project execution

  • Negotiate with vendors and brand ambassadors

  • Hire (as necessary), train and manage Community Leads to execute programs in their regions

  • Implement processes to track and report on performance of community programs and the Community Team, evaluating ROI of each program and team member by market, and implementing improvement plans where necessary

  • Ensure adherence to process and policy as it pertains to logging activities in Manduka’s CRM and other tools used for program management

  • Inform budget development and manage budget for Community Programs

  • Be the champion for relationship building and engagement within the Yoga Studios sales channel by identifying customer needs, overseeing Manduka’s Yoga Studios Loyalty Program, managing Community Lead account visit schedule and conduct, implementing surprise and delight programs, and providing input to Marketing and Sales teams on communication strategies

  • Travel to visit accounts, partners and ambassadors, reinforcing Community Leads’ relationships by region or traveling to markets where there is no Community Lead coverage

  • Report on consumer insights and market research from the field to Product, Marketing and Sales teams for incorporation into future products and strategies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 1-2 years’ experience managing field teams of at least multiple members

  • 1-2 years’ experience developing and planning community/field marketing programs

  • 2+ years of project management experience

  • Events management experience preferred

  • Experience with sales CRM systems and project management tools

  • Connections in the yoga/wellness/fitness industry (Yoga Teacher Training or Yoga Studio experience preferred)

  • Ability to travel 50%+

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

·       A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, in marketing or communications, preferred

·       5-6 years’ total experience in marketing and/or sales
