Account Manager – Apparel : Los Angeles : Full-Time

The Account Manager will be supporting in the daily management of items/collections for a specific category within the sales department. Reporting directly to the division’s Sales Director and working alongside other Account Managers & Sales Associates, the Account Manager will ensure accuracy in the ordering process while facilitating communication between retailers and the category division.

 Maintains detailed assortment lists (straight list) and practices exception based management, identifying issues and recommending solutions to the Sales Director

 Assists Sales Director in the execution of all related merchandising & sales activities including creating and placing proformas, monitoring and tracking orders, and communicates any order revisions to the necessary departments.

 Participates in creating strategies for life of item from initial sale to markdown. Reviews sales performance and makes recommendations to adjust in season or future plans.

 Assists Sales Director and other stakeholders in developing assortments and quantifying buys, meeting timing needs with regards to merchandising delivery

 Assists Sales Director in reviewing inventory buys, positions or issues with internal partners in Planning & Allocation. Make sure all retail buys are congruent and set up for ecommerce. Works with Sales Associate to order samples for ecommerce product shots.

 Communicates product attributes for systems set up; ensures the product is available to stakeholders in all utilized systems.

 Act as liaison for between the retail buying office and TTU relative to marketing, pricing, signing,

 Monitors competitor merchandising and shares findings with stakeholders



 College degree or equivalent business experience

 2-6+ years merchandising experience; preferably with a large organization in a similar role  Proficient in MS word and Excel

 Ability to recognize, analyze and quantify market trends

 Results oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency

 Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field

 Previous retail or wholesale experience

 Ability to travel occasionally, if required
